POLICE officers investigating a series of electric fence generator thefts have carried out a raid on a Chichester property.
Following a number of thefts in the Tangmere and Oving area, officers carried out a stolen goods warrant in Halnaker on Monday (5 December).
A number of suspected stolen items were found and two people have been arrested.
A 62-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and a 36-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of theft and handling stolen goods. Both have been bailed until January 9. pending further enquiries
Many of the owners have now been reunited with their stolen goods.
Anyone who owns electric fence generators is asked to make sure they are left secure and ideally engraved with the postcode to make them traceable and less desirable to thieves.
